Although I know we don’t have as much snow as other parts of the country…
We’ve had more than our fair share of snow this year!!!
When we lived in the Denver area we expected and were ready for some significant snowfall. 12 inches – no problem. 24 inches slowed us down for a day. 36 inches and we might actually get a day off!
However here in southeast Kansas people don’t expect and aren’t ready for anything over an inch or so of snow. So the 3 inches we got last night to cover the 19 inches we got last week is just making us all a little crazy.
And by all I mean everyone and every thing. Even my dogs won’t venture off the sidewalks we did have cleared. One of them saw part of the street in front of the house a couple of days ago and barked at it since he had forgotten what the street looked like. And one of my cats sits and yells every time she looks outdoors. I guess she wants me to make the snow go away.
And since the schools have been closed for so long even the kids are bored with staying home. With the temperature way below freezing all the time they don’t want to go out and play in the white stuff and to quote them, “Daytime television sucks.”
So…
Since the streets are too bad to drive on and it’s too cold to go outside and play I’ve decided to rejuvenate the 2007 e-snowball fight.
I got you first!
Now…
Go out there and get as many people as you can,
before they get you!
